Planned Parenthood Northern California (PPNorCal) provides high-quality sexual and reproductive health care, education, and advocacy in 20 Northern California counties stretching from San Francisco to the Oregon border. One of the strongest and most sustainable Planned Parenthood affiliates in the country, PPNorCal serves approximately 90,000 patients in their health centers each year. They provide access to affordable care—including birth control, cancer screenings, and STD testing and treatment—regardless of ability to pay, gender, or immigration status. The wide range of services PPNorCal provides reinforces their commitment to reproductive justice, allowing them to support each person to fulfill their unique decisions about having children—whether that means avoiding pregnancy, not wanting to continue with pregnancy, or being a parent. PPNorCal's beloved and culturally competent sexual health education reaches 55,000 adults and youth each year, equipping them to make informed choices about personal health and well-being. Under the leadership of CEO Gilda Gonzales and marking the 100th anniversary of Planned Parenthood, PPNorCal is expanding the care they provide in San Francisco by opening a flagship location in the heart of the City to further meet the health needs of San Franciscans for generations to come.
